An interactive installation promoting environmental change. An opportunity for the general public to reflect and contemplate every-day decisions.
In collaboration with The Brighton Dolphin Project this installation required and encouraged participants to work together.
The installation was built using software written in OpenFrameworks (C++) deployed onto a Raspberry Pi. A custom electronics board was fabricated to receive capactitive touch signals using Bare Conductive paint.
As the participant touched a conductive paint silhouette, the virtual plastic waste started to rise from the ocean. As multiple people interact with different conductive paint silhouettes, the plastic is removed at a greater rate.
The installation hopes to inspire people to work together to overcome common environmental concerns.
